Since the number of grit bins were halved in some areas of the ward last winter, I've lost count of the number of calls I've made because bins needed replenished.

The council's failure to keep grit bins full is leading to dangerous, icy roads and pavements during the winter months. Too often residents are left to chase up the council to sort it out.
We shouldn't have to do the council's work for them, but sadly the big parties are far too comfortable and take us for granted. But we can change that this May by electing a local champion who will stand up for residents. The cuts and the neglect must stop.
